Change of Scandinavia brings Timegrip's workforce management across borders

"The biggest advantage is that the program works and is relatively easy to use," says Jesper Bøtker Grønkvist, International HR Manager at CHANGE OF SCANDINAVIA A/S, highlighting the best aspects of Timgegrip (Formerly TimePlan).

Grønkvist explains that their company uses Timegrip across nine different countries. Since its implementation in Denmark and Germany in 2020, the company has gradually rolled it out to its other locations over the past two years.

Timegrip: Their preferred workforce management software

When we asked Grønkvist what led them to choose Timegrip as their preferred Workforce Management solution, he highlighted that one of the key reasons was Timegrip's availability in multiple languages and markets. This includes the platform's incorporation of various regulations for different countries and the ability to change the language.

He pointed out: "Many of our local users are not necessarily proficient in English." Therefore, the option to change the language is a crucial factor for CHANGE.

"The fact that it is available in multiple languages and that language support is present is extremely important to us," Grønkvist emphasized as one of the main reasons for choosing Timegrip.

Seamless integration across borders

The implementation of Timegrip has been a positive experience for CHANGE, and Grønkvist highlights that having a unified system across borders is indispensable for their business:

“First and foremost, it means we have a single system for all countries. This naturally makes it easier for us with the integrations we develop for our own BI system. The fact that we don’t have to integrate with 20 different workforce planning systems but only with one is very important to us. Over time, we’ve added more and more integrations – and that’s a clear advantage,” Grønkvist explains.

A Business Intelligence system (BI) is a tool that enables the collection of data from one or more systems, which can then be implemented into another database. Timegrip effectively integrates with other systems that businesses may already be using.

“We also use an app that integrates with Timegrip – so when we create a new employee in Timegrip, they are automatically added to the app. That’s one of the key benefits of having the same system across all markets,” Grønkvist points out.

Timegrip delivers a system that connects seamlessly across platforms while being tailored to meet the specific needs of CHANGE.

“The ability for it to communicate across platforms, as well as the entire API functionality that we use to integrate both with our BI and our app, is a major advantage. Having the same system for everything is crucial for us, and its capacity for integration is key," Grønkvist remarks with a smile.

Customer-centric support

One of the things CHANGE appreciates most about their collaboration with Timegrip, according to Grønkvist, is “the good dialogue with support. For those of us who have ‘support issues,’ it works really well.”

Grønkvist also highlights the strong communication between Timegrip and CHANGE: “And, of course, the fact that we feel heard regarding the things we bring up, even if changes don’t happen immediately. Feeling that we are listened to and taken seriously as a larger customer – which we’ve become over time – is the best part of working with Timegrip.”

A helpful platform

Grønkvist explains that Timegrip helps CHANGE keep track of data and reports about their employees both domestically and internationally:

“The collaboration has enabled us to report consistently across all markets. We have various KPIs that we track – so being able to create uniform reporting on employee turnover, sick leave, and so on has been a great help. Otherwise, it would have been difficult to get a consistent overview across all markets,” he explains.

CHANGE values Timegrip and its platform

For a large corporate chain like CHANGE OF SCANDINAVIA A/S, having a Workforce Management program like Timegrip is essential for maintaining an overview of critical data.

Highlighting the importance of a well-functioning WFM program, Grønkvist explains: “It’s crucial because it’s a key part of our business operations. We use the system extensively for scheduling hours to ensure that the hours planned align with our payroll budget. That’s why it’s absolutely essential for us – we couldn’t operate without Timegrip and a workforce management system, given the way our business is structured.”

With a laugh, he adds: “Sure, you could have invented something similar in Excel, but the functionality within Timegrip is far more advanced,” explaining why they chose Timegrip as their partner.
