2026

Timegrip is acquired by BCS HR Software

In June 2026, Timegrip joined forces with Netherlands-based BCS HR Software, creating a pan-European platform for HCM, payroll and workforce management with strong positions across the Benelux, Nordic and DACH regions.

By combining BCS’ expertise in HR and payroll with our workforce management and HR cost control solutions, we can now support organisations across the entire employee lifecycle.

This marks the next chapter in our journey: from a floppy disk in Aalborg in 1995 to part of a pan-European software platform.
2025

Timegrip acquires Software4You

We are strengthening our position in the European workforce management market through the acquisition of German company Software4You.

By combining their proven expertise in HR management and personnel cost planning with our scheduling and time tracking solutions, we now offer a more complete platform.

This milestone supports our buy-and-build strategy and enables us to deliver smarter, more integrated tools that help businesses improve efficiency, compliance, and workforce planning across Europe.

In our journey of growth and innovation, a significant milestone was reached when TimePlan, including TimeMap and Timegrip, united under a single brand: Timegrip.

TimePlan acquires Danish TimeMap

The acquisition of TimeMap marks the second step in TimePlan’s buy-and-build strategy since the start of the partnership with Main Capital in November 2022.

TimePlan announces the acquisition of Timegrip. This marks the first step in TimePlan’s buy-and-build strategy since the start of the partnership with Main Capital in November 2022.
2022

Main Capital Partners acquires majority of TimePlan

Main Capital Partners is proud to announce the acquisition of a majority stake in TimePlan Software A/S, a leading provider of Workforce Management solutions. Together with the management, Main will support TimePlan in its continued international growth and a selective buy & build strategy.
2019

New chief executive director assigned

After 24 years in the chair as CEO at TimePlan Software A/S in Aalborg, founder Henrik Baasch withdraws and passes on the baton to Rex A. Clausager, who takes up the position as the new CEO as of 1 August 2019.
2013

Strengthening our European market presence

We continued to expand across Europe, welcoming MediaMarkt in the Netherlands and Strawberry (formerly Nordic Choice Hotels). Our solutions proved adaptable to diverse industries and regions.
2006 – 2009

Driving international expansion and recognition

2006: JYSK rolled out our solution across several European countries, proving the flexibility and scalability of our system.

TimeMap was founded in the same year.

2008: PA Kompetens became our distributor in Sweden.
1998 – 2005

Expanding across Nordic borders

The trust in our solution grew quickly. IKEA Denmark joined us in 1998, paving the way for partnerships with SILVAN in 1999 and Netto in 2000. These early successes helped cement our place in the retail industry.

1995

The foundation of our journey began

Preben Bjerregaard, Director of Inspiration (Danish newsletter red.) in Aalborg contacts Henrik Baasch at Erhvervsservice Nord.

The first version of TimePlan Retail was launched on a floppy disk by Henrik Baasch in collaboration with trade unions, the Danish Chamber of Commerce and leading retail businesses.
