Aalborg, 29 January 2025

The Aalborg-based company TimePlan Software, which includes the Danish subsidiaries TimeMap and TimePlan, as well as the Norwegian subsidiary Timegrip, is proud to announce a historic milestone: the merger of all three companies into a single entity under the unified brand Timegrip. This merger marks a new chapter in the company’s history and strengthens its position as one of Europe’s leading providers of workforce management solutions.

All three companies specialise in workforce management software, helping businesses create work schedules, track working hours, and manage employee information. Since the introduction of the new time-tracking legislation, which came into effect on 1 July 2024, the company has experienced significant growth.

A Unified Vision for the Future

Although the three companies each have their own unique history, they share the same mission: to help individuals, teams, and businesses make the most of their time in an efficient and fulfilling way. With this merger, Timegrip will support over 1,000 businesses across Europe while reinforcing its strong foundation in the Nordic region, where labour laws are among the most complex in the world.

Rex A. Clausager, CEO of Timegrip, states:

"The goal and vision of this merger is to unite our expertise and experience to create even stronger solutions for our customers. By combining our knowledge and innovation, we can deliver more agile and tailored solutions that help businesses navigate an ever-changing world."

"We have undergone a long and thorough process in developing our new name and identity. From a practical standpoint, we could not continue using the name TimePlan, as it means ‘school timetable’ in Norwegian, and we also have a Swedish competitor with the same name. Therefore, we chose to adopt our well-established Norwegian brand, Timegrip, but with a refreshed identity," adds Clausager.

Local Roots in North Jutland with Global Growth and Ambitions

TimePlan Software (now Timegrip) has seen significant growth in recent years, supported by Dutch investment firm Main Capital Partners, which has helped strengthen the company’s market position and facilitate this merger.

"We are proud of our North Jutland roots and look forward to continuing as an attractive employer in Aalborg and a key player nationally, while also expanding our influence in international markets. This growth allows us to offer even more resources and innovative solutions to our customers," Clausager continues.

A Company in Constant Evolution

With over 30 years of experience in workforce management, Timegrip has a deep understanding of customer needs. This merger enables the company to expand into new sectors, markets, and system capabilities through close collaboration among experienced colleagues.
