Timegrip's time tracking system solves Sønstebøtunet’s challenges
We operate many departments and different shops for which we manage both accounting and payroll. Our previous setup was highly dependent on individuals and, therefore, vulnerable. If one person was ill, everything came to a halt.
We used a mix of paper timesheets and Excel spreadsheets, which required constant chasing and follow-ups, consuming a lot of time. Manual schedules and shift lists were also created in Excel. With employees working across multiple departments and shops, time tracking and scheduling were cumbersome and lacked control.
I wanted to digitise everything to eliminate process vulnerabilities and streamline our operations. We explored many systems but didn’t find exactly what we needed. Then, we contacted Timegrip after speaking with the Eurosko chain, who were very satisfied with their time tracking system.

Perhaps even more important is the ability our department managers now have to take ownership of all recorded hours. They have embraced this responsibility enthusiastically and are doing a phenomenal job with both scheduling and time tracking. It’s almost as if time tracking has become a sport.
There is a newfound awareness of running their own departments, along with the tools to solve their own challenges. Having now used Timegrip for a while, we see even greater value as it allows us to compare historical data with budgets. Everything becomes more visible, and there’s no doubt it has saved us on labour costs.
